Blogger is doing something weird with my pictures. anyway, that is a sample of the stove top i am making for cora. the grey is the background and the white is just paper. i was just trying to figure out how i wanted it to look. any suggestions? like my new sunglasses. i sat on my old pair a year ago, but made them work until cora totally broke one stem all the way off. these are my new ones. they remind me of the glasses mom had when we lived in washington.

for the stovetop...i am just considering different shapes, sizes, and positions for the different elements (sink and knobs, burners and knobs if you couldn't tell)
I LOVE IT! Not sure how to make it look right but a faucet would make the sink complete. I think the sink is probably cuter w/o any faucet action.
Red for hot and blue for cold would be a nice touch, but you're just doing size/shape and placement right now. I think you've done great! I LOVE THIS IDEA!

love the glasses...i need some like those b/c they don't look at cheap as mine...but i'll probably keep using mine until i sit on them too. love the stove...you could used milk carton lids for the knobs and put them on with brads so you can turn them. i'll be thinking of more ideas...but very cute.
oooh, thats a good idea liesl about the knobs. do you like the knobs ont eh side of the burners or under the burners? i thought the side would make it easier for little hands to reach, but i think they look better under each burner. what do you think?
oh, i've thought about a faucet, but i'm not sure how to make it look right since this is mainly 2-d and a faucet is impossible to look ok w/o being 3-d
